THE INTEGRATION OF SEMANTIC NETWORKS IN VIRTUAL EXHIBITIONS

Abstract. In this article a use case is presented how semantic network can be used to enrich the existing virtual exhibition “They Shared their Destiny. Women and Cossacks’ Tragedy in Lienz 1945” about fate of women during Cossack tragedy Lienz. By connecting via CIDOC CRM information people, events, finds places goal was not only make interoperable, but also integrate resulting knowledge graph into exhibition, thus providing further navigation level enhancing visitors’ experience.First, short introduction project given. second part, scientific background its semantically enriched 3D content outlined. third part implementation as described with respect data modelling integration 3-dimensional environment well spatial aspects other internet resources.
